A dedicated group of volunteer superheroes forms the foundation for Viborg Animation Festival. You are vital for us to be able to create a great animation festival for our local and international guests every year. And we would like to have you on the team!

As a volunteer at Viborg Animation Festival, you can, among other things:

• help with the set-up and take-down of physical materials
• present animation films in the cinema
• take photos and create video content
• staff the information booth and welcome the festival guests
• or help with one of the many other exciting tasks

The tasks are many and varied, and regardless of whether you are interested in practical work, communication , or being in contact with guest, we have a task for you.

There are no specific requirements in order to be part of the VAF volunteer team. The most important thing is, that you are helpful, responsible , and want to contribute to a positive and inclusive community around volunteer work at a culture and animation festival. Over the years, we have had volunteers of all ages, and it is not a requirement that you know English; however, there are tasks that require a reasonable level of English, as a large part of our guests communicate in English.

Join the volunteer meeting in August

In August, we invite everyone, who is interested, to join us for an information meeting, where we greet each other and distribute the year’s volunteer tasks. So make sure to follow along on our Facebook group for VAF Volunteers to be notified when the date for the meeting is set.

As a volunteer, you will gain experience within the culture and festival industry, meet new people , and gain insight into the work behind the scenes at an animation festival.
